In July 2010, CapitaLand Commercial Limited established a joint venture with Hersing Corporation Ltd to grow the self-storage business under StorHub brand, with a view to extending the portfolio to overseas markets. CapitaLand Commercial Limited holds a 62% stake while Hersing holds the remaining 38% stake in the joint venture.

Hersing pioneered the self-storage business in Singapore under the StorHub brand in 2003. The joint venture will leverage on CapitaLand's extensive network and platform in Asia and tap on Hersing's knowledge and expertise in the self-storage business.

In Singapore, the joint venture currently owns and/or manages five self-storage properties located in Toa Payoh, Changi and Kallang, which are easily accessible via Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and expressways.
