Bugis Village comprises three-storey of 34 pre-Second World War shophouses that were restored in 1991. It is strategically located across Bugis MRT and Bugis Junction Shopping Centre within the bustling Bras Basah/Bugis area. As at 31 December 2009, the development has an NLA of 11,356 square metres and houses offices and a diverse mix of retail shops offering fast food, sundries, fashion, hairstyling and fitness services.

Adding to the buzz soon will be the Urban Entertainment Central (UEC) when it is completed in 2011. The Singapore government plans to transform the Selegie/Bras Basah/Bugis area into an Arts, Culture, Learning and Entertainment hub in the city centre. With the proposed UEC and the surrounding educational institutions, arts centres and the National Library, visitors can also expect cinemas, thematic restaurants, live show dinner theatres, indoor theme parks and entertainment centres, located next to fine art galleries, as well as TV, film and video studios and production facilities.

Tenants at Bugis Village include Bon-Food Pte Ltd, Kentucky Fried Chicken Management Pte Ltd, Amore Fitness Pte. Ltd. and MacDonald’s Restaurants Pte. Ltd.

Bugis Village is owned by CapitaCommercial Trust (CCT), Singapore’s first commercial real estate investment trust; and managed by CapitaLand. For more information on CCT, visit the CCT website at www.cct.com.sg
