6 Battery Road
Singapore 049909

Six Battery Road is a 42-storey Grade A office building strategically situated in the heart of Raffles Place, a prime location within Singapore's Central Buisness District. Matched by a distinctive address and complete with panoramic views of the Singapore River and Marina Bay, Six Battery Road remains the top choice amongst prestigious local and multinational companies. It currently houses offices of global companies like Standard Chartered Bank and Nomura Singapore Limited.

Six Battery Road also enjoys a direct basement access to Raffles Place MRT Station and excellent access to amenities. It has an NLA of 46,339 square metres as at 31 December 2010.

A key offering of the building is its column-free office floor area of 12,500 square feet each, providing tenants an opportunity for efficient use of space and allowing flexibility of layout.

On 24 March 2011, the first and largest indoor vertical garden in Singapore's Central Business District was unveiled by Ms Grace Fu, Senior Minister of State for National Development and Education, at Six Battery Road. Named the "Rainforest Rhapsody", the soaring indoor vertical garden is about 2,000 square feet populated by a rich array of about 120 plant species sourced locally and from other parts of Asia. Rainforest Rhapsody is created by Dr Patrick Blanc, an international award-winning French botanist and creator, in close collaboration with the CapitaLand team.

This vertical garden is the centerpiece of the revitalised Six Battery Road's main lobby, part of the S$92-million asset enhancement works at Six Battery Road to augment the building's technical, aesthetic and green specifications. The asset enhancement works will be completed in phases by end-2013 while the building remains operational.

The unveiling of Rainforest Rhapsody marks the completion of the first phase of the asset enhancement works to refurbish the main lobby. New lobby features include upgraded lift lobbies, new turnstiles, "Waterfall" paintings by Japanese artist, Mr Hiroshi Senju, as well as a fresh scent of "Green Bamboo" to greet tenants and visitors. The lobby also features the new Gastronomia café by Da Paolo Group and a concierge service counter to assist tenants.

The lobby also boasts environmentally-sustainable features such as reused decorative onyx wall tiles and the light emitting diode (LED) to light the common areas. The next phases will include the use of highly efficient chiller plant, installation of thermal energy storage system, high performance solar light tubes to reduce reliance on artificial lighting and the piloting of renewable energy source by harnessing energy from exhaust air on the rooftop to power a vertical wind turbine. Upon completion of the entire asset enhancement works, we expect to achieve 25% savings in the building's energy consumption.

Six Battery Road had undergone extensive retrofitting between 2000 and 2002. In 2007, additional building improvement works was carried out to enhance the mechanical and electrical equipments as well as to upgrade the lift systems.

Six Battery Road is the first operating office building in Singapore's Central Business District to be conferred the prestigious BCA Green Mark Platinum award by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore. Six Battery Road is owned by CapitaCommercial Trust (CCT), Singapore’s first commercial real estate investment trust; and managed by CapitaLand.
